NYT wants to put blogs behind their new upcoming paywall. It seems that not even they know what is going to be happening with it and the rules. Interestingly, they may exempt famous blogs like Freakonomics and Paul Krugman’s (recent Nobel prize winner) from being behind the paywall.

In what critics are calling “musicblogocide 2010″, Google has deleted at least six popular music blogs that it claims violated copyright law. These sites, hosted by Google’s Blogger and Blogspot services, received notices only after their sites – and years of archives – were wiped from the internet.

O google analytics tem estatisticas a dar com pau. Mas cheguei ‘a conclusao que o melhor do GA e’ mesmo eles mandarem-te – se quiseres – um pdf com as estatisticas que tu queres. E’ so’ abrir o PDF e ver. Nao e’ necessario fazer login, andar a clickar no site, etc….

Hotlinking (ou inline linking) e’ quando alguem usa uma imagem directamente de um outro site. Normalmente nao pede permissao nem da’ credito. Uma versao mais light disto e’ copiar a imagem para o seu proprio site. Ao menos nao gasta largura de banda do outro site.

O blogs de ciencia atingiu no mes de Marco 2008 mais de 100 mil visitantes (107265). Isto e’ excelente pois na altura quando comecei a coisa nao sabia qual a adesao das pessoas ‘a ideia nem se a comunidade bloguistica estava para ai’ virada. (a malta da ciencia e’ algo esquisita)
