Vibram FiveFingers Speed

My next casual shoes, when they come out (April?, nope late May). Turns out that they will probably be Euro-only for still an unknown reason to me. My bet is that europeans are more apt to try crazy casual shoes than their fellows americans.
I’ve been loving to run a bit in my fivefingers KSO that I got from REI with a 20% discount. I’ve never had fun running before in my life. I could do some miles playing soccer but NEVER just running. I wonder if it was just my body totally rebelling against the gait I had… More to follow in the coming weeks :)
ps: This message was written while being sore all over my body, but even more so in my feet and calfs. Right knee has been surprisingly almost pain free(!)

Compared to the 'regular' vibrams I think these are actually a bit more tame. The laces and the solid-looking upper [on the black pair at least] give this more the appearance of a regular running sneaker than any of the existing models. This is particularly due to existing models having large rubber stubs at the end of each toe, where they seem a bit more subtle on the Speed. BTW I live in NYC and wear my KSOs and KSO Treks just about every day to work in midtown, so I wear them out and about a lot
Yeah, I think this is the best of both worlds. Although, in NYC everything goes ;-)
I just got some jingas that I've been using while dancing but I may use them more for day to day too.
These are the best looking Fivefingers by far. I can't wait to somehow order a pair from Europe. My black KSO's look pretty awesome with white fabric paint splattered on em in the meantime. I get comments on them everytime I go anywhere. My feet feel so strong now!
