Nice. Lots of albuns unknown to me :) Some known although not heard like Jarrett’s latest solo and the Metheny/Mehldau. Speakin’ of that, those two should have played here already!! Come on Boston, get them here… together and solo. Both are wonderful to hear just solo. Oh, yeah, and with their groups… hm… yeah. And Metheny’s trio, of course. I just can’t get enough of Bill Stewart speakin’ with his drums. Btw, just found out that they’re coming here in a duo 4/14, at the Opera House. Wohoo :)
Sonny’s album keeps coming up on the lists, so I need to check it out. A lot of different albums by each one of the reviewers which is actually good news! Dan Ouellette actually puts Krall’s up there in the top10, WTF? kenny G next year?
CleanFeed records is putting out good albums. Great news for them and for the Portuguese jazz scene. A wholehearted abraço for them and the gang at Trem Azul. Nonesuch is also putting out a lot of great albums!
By the way, I really want to go to Montreal this year. Dave Holland’s group? I’m there baby!! I hope my cousin still knows me :-)
