The Scientist : NIH stem cell chief resigns
My only concern at this moment - as an European that is - is how well can europe take advantage of this? I mean, Europe’s not hurting america’s scientific capabilities, it’s its president that is shooting american hESC research in the foot. Having attended meetings with people interested in hESC research and realizing the headaches they are going through just to get anything done on that front, I cannot see how America will not lose a lot of scientific capabilities on this field. Now, can Europe get itself together and actually take advantage of this or will Europe have a dolce fare niente approach?
