Extreme biking

Ok, I admit, it wasn’t very wise. Today I woke up and it was snowing A LOT. Here’s the weather.com report as of now:
So, raining I admit that I hate. I hate raining when coming to work, and it can get your laptop wet and stuff… as a side note, no water got in the backpack. My lappie bag is really good. Good to know.
I had never ridden a bike on snow, or, should I say, ice. Yes. Some parts of the roads are blocks of ice. I almost fell off for a couple of times, so I had to be really cautious… but I made it. Now, I need to get some biking pants to put on top of the regular ones. My legs were freakin’ freezing. Not because of the coldness as it was fairly “warm” – minus 5 to 0 C. The simply froze because as the snow kept accumulating on the pants, it slowly melted into freakin’ cold water. Ouch, it hurts :))
But I’m alive. I saw a couple of other crazy bikers out there. So, my friends, crazy guys like me do exist. :)

És um ganda maluco!!!!! por estes lados tb tá um frio do caracas (-5° a -10°C!!!!) e eu nem me atrevo a ficar na rua mais de 5 min… nós, tugas habituados ao sol, n fomos mesmo feitos pa viver nestes países invernosos….
Só pa mandar uma beijoca ;)))

Ah… frio…. o mais frio que ja’ “senti”, as in, estava fora de casa, foram -22C. Isso e’ que foi frio.. especialmente pq fazia mto mto vento que devia estar a uns -30C! A essa temperatura, de facto, mais que 5-10 min na rua comeca a ser muito muito duro…
Quanto ao sol, e’ verdade. O sol e’ espetacular, mas por outro lado, eu tb gosto do tempo frio e de neve. Gosto mto de neve :)))) Mas o porreiro de boston e’ que por exemplo, mesmo quando neva durante a noite, muitas vezes o dia acorda bonito, cheio de sol e azulinho. E’ estranho mas definitivamente evita aquela depressao… esta’ frio e com neve, mas e’ bonito e alegre.
